Communicable Disease

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that an estimated number of one million people die from the harmful effects of cancer on a daily basis in the world today and about five million people continue to get infected every day. There, is also another report that suggests that one in every family member has a tendency of developing cancerous cells, although this is not a proven theory and it is constantly debated.

Cancer today can be attributed to being one of the primary sources of Medicine Direct the increasing number of death associated with body cells today, although this is second to leukemia. Cancerous cells are hard to kill and if not properly treated, it could take over the whole body of its victim leading to a quick death. Cancerous cells are a cluster of cells infected with diseases that spring from an abnormality in cell growth and it has a high tendency to spread to every other healthy cell in the victim’s body. Cancer first starts as a tumor but it should be noted that not all tumors that happen to a person are cancerous, non-threatening tumors have not the capability to spread to other parts of the victim's body.

Sometimes, the tumors that happen to a person takes as long as many years to form in the victim’s body before they start manifesting themselves for clinical treatments. The non-threatening tumors and the threatening tumors show some signs and symptoms that result from the effects of the metastases. In some instances, the primary metastases and the secondary metastases do not display itself and thus they go unnoticed by their victims for a long period of time. In addition to the effects being felt, the risky neoplasms manufacture a kind of systematic effect in the body, which may result in the body being worn down and a host others of clinical indexes also known as paraneoplastic syndromes.

The main causes of cancer spring up from many reasons. The most cancer-causing agents are as a result of genetic mutations related to environmental factors and the other reason spring up from inherited traits from parents. The environmental factor which is responsible for causing cancer, are those factors that do not spring from a person's inherited traits, such factors spring up from the person’s lifestyle, economic and behavioral factors and not from environmental pollutants alone.

Cancer caused is as a result of the tobacco

One of the main causes of cancer which can be commonly found in every environment is the smoking of tobacco, food diet, and obesity, strenuous activities, lack of exercises and air pollutions. Although this has always been a debated fact because the different causes of environmental cancer do not have a solid proof. One instance is given that, when a person smokes heavily develops lung cancer, cancer caused is as a result of the tobacco he/she had taken. But when a person who smokes less or doesn't smoke at all develop lung cancer, it has little to do with environmental factors.

A foremost causation of cancer is the use of tobacco. Scientists estimate that about one in three of cancer caused death around the world was facilitated by the use of tobacco. Tobacco contains nicotine and carcinogens which is one of the leading causes for the development of cancerous cells in the body. It has been proven that tobacco causes cancer to the lungs, but it has also been recorded that even the kidney, bladder, the liver, the larynx, head, neck, stomach, esophagus, pancreas and other body parts are at risk of cancer caused by tobacco in the body.

Another environmental causing agent of cancer is alcoholic consumption. In western Europe, research made have proven that an estimated 10 percent of males who drink alcohol and a 3 percent of women who drink, is at risk of getting cancer, especially in the body parts of the liver and the gastric areas.
